Keeping Young Smiles Happy & Healthy

At Life Dental, our goal is to make dental visits a relaxed and normal part of everyday life as our young patients grow. With that in mind, we take a number steps to help ensure that every child is made to feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they walk into our office.

Our team understands that going to the dentist can be an intimidating experience for some children, so we strive to keep the environment calm, friendly and inviting. The dedicated children's play area in our waiting room helps kids relax and have fun as they wait for their turn in the chair.

Once your child's appointment begins, helping your child to stay relaxed and comfortable becomes our focus. We will explain each step of the process in language appropriate for your child's age, work at their pace, take breaks if they get overwhelmed, and continually offer calm reassurance.

At our New Westminster dental clinic, we offer a complete range of dental services for kids and their developing smiles. Our team is dedicated to providing your child with the comprehensive care and gentle guidance they need for good oral health as they grow up.

Your Child's First Dental Exam

It is generally recommended that your child has their first dental examination at about six to twelve months of age. By this time, the primary teeth are beginning to erupt, making it an ideal time to spot any problems before they become big concerns.

Caring For Developing Smiles

At Life Dental, our services can be tailored to meet your child's unique oral health needs, from infancy right through their teen years. Consistent dental care as your child's smile develops can help to prevent issues later in life.

Preventive Dental Hygiene

Regularly scheduled dental exams and cleanings when your child is young will help preserve the primary teeth until they are ready to fall out and be replaced by permanent teeth. During each visit to our office, we will review proper oral hygiene techniques to ensure your child's smile is receiving the care it needs.

Restorative Dental Services

Genetics and lifestyle factors can often mean that some children face a higher risk of dental issues than others. If your child is at risk of dental decay, develops a cavity, or is experiencing misalignment issues, your dentist may recommend other services to protect their oral health such as dental fillings and TMJ disorder treatment.
